This art is by Paul Sawyer 1865-1917. He was born in Madison County Ohio, & at 5 years old, moved to Frankfort, Ky. At 19, he was a student of portraiture Thomas S. Noble at the Cincinnati Art Academy. Four years later he was studying at the N.Y. City's Art Students League, taught by Wm. Merritt Chase. He was introduced to impressionism at the Chicago World's Fair Columbian Expo. in 1893. He then became an "American Impressionist." This is 383/2728.
